Father’s Day music and hiking - what could be better! Join us for this Trail Session event and enjoy educational birding walks by Audubon NY and grounds tours by staff from the historic Boscobel House (c.1804). Prepare to be serenaded on the lawn by singer-songwriter, Jake Klar. Rhythm and groove, grit and honesty, Klar's music is part of the new Americana synergy that infuses rock and pop sensibilities with folk sincerity. It’s a perfect way to enjoy the Hudson Valley and show a Dad how much you appreciate them.

Jake Klar

Massachusetts born natural, Jake Klar isn’t your typical American singer and songwriter. The secret powers of a poet aren’t gifted to another often, as Jake utilizes his skills on the visual arts side of things combining music and powerful expression. In 2013 Klar released the album “Rocks & Gravel” and another in 2014 titled “Cresent St. Blues”. Recently released, his album “Until The Wild Fire Becomes Paradise” came out on October 20th, 2017. Jake Klar is inspiration itself, the mentalist will leave you wanting to hear more of his euphonious and soothing music.

Boscobel House & Gardens

Boscobel opened as a nonprofit museum nearly sixty years ago. Built between 1804 and 1808, it was originally the dream house of wealthy Loyalists. By the 1950s, after falling into disrepair, it was demolished. Preservationists saved as many architectural fragments as possible and reassembled them fifteen miles north, where the Neoclassical mansion was restored back to—and even beyond—its original grandeur. Boscobel was saved as a beautiful piece of art.

Now an esteemed Historic House Museum containing one of the finest collections of decorative arts from the Federal period, Boscobel offers admission to 68 acres of our grounds, featuring lush gardens and a woodland trail. Located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, Boscobel directly overlooks Constitution Marsh toward the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, showcasing dramatic views of the Hudson River.

Constitution Marsh Audubon Center

Constitution Marsh Audubon Center and Sanctuary is a unique and beautiful tidal marsh located in Putnam County, New York, and serves as vital natural habitat in the Hudson River Estuary. It is situated on the east shore of the Hudson River, just south of the village of Cold Spring. The marsh is an Audubon New York Important Bird Area, a New York State Bird Conservation Area, and is designated as a Significant Coastal Fish and Wildlife Habitat.

Audubon New York, a state program of the National Audubon Society, protects birds and the places they need, today and tomorrow, throughout the Americas using science, advocacy, education and on-the-ground conservation.

Sustain Music & Nature

We make music a force for nature. Tapping into the emotional hook of music and cultural sway of bands, we engage new audiences with the outdoors. Our nonprofit is based in Colorado, but does work across the US with musicians of all genres.

This is a fully outdoor event. Please maintain social distancing between households. Dress for the weather.
