We are so excited to release this new Songscape song and music video into the world! Today, River Whyless releases "Hold Me To Ya", a song inspired by their visit at Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge in southwestern Wyoming. Last July, the band headed out to the sagebrush steppe of one of the West's most beautiful public lands. They explored the Green River and the lush riparian wetlands lining its banks. They hiked through the dry sagebrush alongside the wagon wheel ruts of 1800's pioneers. They witnessed the bright Milky Way in one of the darkest skies in the country. And they saw much of the wildlife this refuge was created to protect.

From this beauty and experience, River Whyless created a song inspired by Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge. We also had the incredible talent of National Geographic Young Explorer and videographer, Corey Robinson, to create a music video for "Hold Me To Ya".

In the months since River Whyless visited the refuge, we've partnered with the National Wildlife Refuge Association (NWRA) in order to raise awareness about the role our wildlife refuges play in protecting wildlife. A third of all proceeds created by song sales will be donated to the NWRA. NWRA's work is particularly important at a time when politicians are talking about selling off YOUR wildlife refuges to private companies. It is our hope that the Songscape: Seedskadee NWR project creates new audiences and appreciation for our National Wildlife Refuges.
